What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boiler Mechanic (Welder) position at Thermal Tech, Inc.?
As a Boiler Mechanic you will provide quality service and troubleshooting on customer’s boiler system equipment through preventative maintenance and emergency services. You will also mentor and help guide other mechanics. This position includes overall boiler maintenance, support, diagnostics, as well as welding support.

- Collaborate with customers at job sites to identify problems and offer effective solutions.
- Exercise Project Management skills to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- As part of the Service Dept you’ll work closely with senior mechanics to complete projects as well as mentor other mechanics.
- Provide reports detailing daily activities.
- Proactively work towards leveling up through the Growth Program.
- Support customers on a rotational on-call basis, which could include weekends and after normal business hours.
- 2 years of experience in welding, pipefitting or millwrighting and a high school diploma is required.
- Current valid Driver’s license is required
- Previous boiler service and repair experience and 6G welding certification are preferred
- Proficiency with rigging practices, boiler refractory replacement, pipe/control valve sizing, welding code procedures, pipe threading and tool usage
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends, when necessary
- Exceptional customer service acumen and professional communication skills
- Ability to manage time and handle competing priorities while ensuring accuracy.
