Description/ Job Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements, driving quality initiatives across production, and fostering collaboration with internal teams and suppliers. This role oversees quality monitoring, process improvements, and team leadership, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality thermal transfer devices for aerospace applications. The successful candidate will champion the continuation of the production and implementation of a robust AS9100 compliant Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Responsibilities
Quality Compliance and Assurance
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality policy, company standards, and regulatory/external standards.
- Validate quality processes and update quality assurance procedures as needed.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and suppliers to maintain product supply and quality standards.
- Communicate with customers and cross-functional teams to address quality requirements and develop procedures.
Quality Monitoring and Improvement
- Manage quality inspection and product release programs for all production stages.
- Conduct audits and implement measures to improve product quality and efficiency.
Leadership and Reporting
- Direct quality team activities and facilitate performance reviews.
- Prepare reports for management and manage departmental budgets effectively.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- College degree preferred or Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing with supervisory experience.
- 3-5 years statistics, Six Sigma or other analysis experience preferred
