Job Description
The Scientist will perform a variety of routine to complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and/or biological matrices. This involves following validated or experimental analytical procedures with periodic direct supervision. The role requires responsible for review and compilation of results and data comparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol and product specifications.
- A day in the Life:
- Performing various tasks including sample preparation, analysis, problem solving, training on instrumentation, managing QC/QA responsibilities, communicating project status, performing work assignments accurately and safely, reviewing, interpreting and analyzing data.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in HPLC and related fields, or Master's degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
- HPLC experience is required, while dissolution, Karl Fisher, method validation, stability and small molecule experience are preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Applicable regulatory authority, compendia and ICH guidelines, GMPs and GLPs, Microsoft Excel and Word, analytical methods optimization, written and oral communication, time management and project management, problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Ability to communicate, receive and understand information, work upright and stationary, lift and move objects up to 25 pounds, work in non-traditional environments, use standard office equipment and technology, exposure to potentially hazardous elements, work under pressure.
