Title : Sr Facilities Specialist - Refrigeration Technician

Division / Dept. : Clinical Research Group / Facilities

Location : Richmond, VA

Office status : Onsite

Discover Impactful Work :

Provides team support for facility projects, ensuring projects are completed within budget, on schedule. Supports diverse activities related to facility services, building maintenance, engineering projects, and / or equipment maintenance.

Responsible for the day-to-day facility operations of specified area.
Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and / or gathering information.
Informs personnel regarding procedures and / or status of work orders for the

purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and / or complying with building and safety regulations.

Performs inspections to ensure timeliness, compliance with requirements, and acceptable workmanship.

Coordinates assigned activities with outside contractors and vendors.

Develops criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.

Education :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Universal EPA refrigerant card required

Experience :

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2 years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience.

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and / or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

3 years of Refrigeration experience needed

Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems

Song working knowledge of HVAC, Chillers, Controls, RTU, AHU, VAV, Humidifiers, Liebert unitstr

Strong working knowledge of project management techniques and concepts

Adept at handling multiple projects and managing competing priorities

Excellent problem solving skills

Effective negotiation skills

Solid written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and outside vendors

Strong computer skills and proficiency with relevant software
