Position Objective :

As a member of our Life Sciences Solutions Group (LSG), you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for performing customer installs, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of instruments in the greater Boston, MA area.
Essential Functions :
- Provide flawless onsite installation, upgrades, updates, repairs, and planned maintenance services for our instruments.
- Display professionalism, technical knowledge, and exceptional customer service in all interactions.
- Exceed revenue targets while ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting their instrument repair, installation, and preventive maintenance needs.
- Interact with customers to offer and close the sale of service contracts and other service products.
- Collaborate with internal partners to improve processes and resolve customer issues.
- Follow all reporting responsibilities, including Field Service Reports (FSR), Qualification Documentation, and Service Escalations.
- Maintain technical competency by attending trainings, staff meetings, and staying up to date on new products, markets, customers, and competitors.
- Manage travel expenses and adhere to Thermo Fisher Scientific travel policies and guidelines.
Education Requirements :
A BS degree in the Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Engineering field, or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions :
Frequent travel to customer sites is required, ranging from 25-75% of work time. You will work in both a home office and laboratory environment. This role may involve lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods of time. You must also be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials, and be available for overtime and flexible work schedules, including occasional weekend on-call duties.
