Location:
This is an Outside Genetic Analysis Instrument Sales Representative covering the territory of MN and ND. Residency within Minnesota or North Dakota is required, no relocation will be provided.

The Genetic Analysis Instrument Sales Representative is part of the commercial organization that supports the Genetic Analysis portfolio. The portfolio provides high-value genomic data for research and applied markets, including Quantitative PCR, Sanger Sequencing, Human Identification, Microarray, and AgriGenomics.
A day in the Life:
- Remotely based in Utah, field sales position responsible for achieving or exceeding the assigned territory sales plan.
- Will possess strong technical acuity in the areas of qPCR and sequencing
- Strong intuition for business required to build successful account and territory plans and translate territory strategy into business results
- Primarily passionate about achieving successful capital equipment sales and large reagent deals, including funnel management skills and strong hunting, prospecting, and closing skills.

- Capital sales competence – Demonstrates funnel management skills with strong hunting/prospecting and closing skills.
- Business acuity – Dedication to meticulous territory planning, market knowledge, both accurate and timely forecasting. Develops and leads a business plan to meet or exceed business goals agreed upon by commercial management for the territory.
- Understands scientific project and business needs of the customer to position a GA solution (qPCR and/or sequencing and/or microarray) to win the business. Actively promotes and sells consumables.
- Manages sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking through the use of Sales Force system and other designated IT tools.
- 25-50% travel within the territory
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required, major in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related Life Science field preferred.
Experience
- Requires a minimum of 3 years sales experience in Life Science or combined lab experience preferred, or 3 years of sales in another industry, capital equipment experience or genetic sciences required.
- Extensive knowledge of qPCR, sequencing, and/or microarray required
- Selling experience in federal government accounts preferred

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Minnesota is $64,900.00–$86,500.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
