Job Description
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific for a meaningful impact in finding cures and ensuring food safety.
What will you do?
- Direct responsibility for data analytics, inventory management, and vital reporting.
- Analyze data and make recommendations to achieve profitability, customer service, and inventory goals.
- Manage the monthly inventory management report distribution.
- Coordinate all ULSIM ordering functions.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to implement changes from analysis.
- Plan and complete inventory functions, such as running reports, adding parts, and warehouse-level inventory planning.
- Lead and coordinate annual physical inventory and quarterly cycle counts, including conducting yearly API Training and Cycle Count Training.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Manage velocity reports, analyze data, and resolve MAX/ROP changes.
- Provide backup coverage as needed.
- Design new planning tools with the project coordinator.
- Perform ad hoc training and support.
- Undertake other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
- College degree preferred.
- 1-2 years' experience in inventory management.
- A combination of job-related experience and ongoing educational progress may be considered.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and lean standard processes preferred.
- Proficient communication skills, including experience in writing SOPs and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work with internal and external customers; strong interpersonal skills required.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
- Diligent, problem solver, fosters team environment.
- Excellent computer/software skills. (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills and collaboration.
- Analytical and critical thinking ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a laboratory setting and GLP/GMP environment preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
