Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the laboratory's daily operations, including maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and safe laboratory practices.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, including maintaining proper documentation and records.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
- Stay updated with the latest scientific advancements and technologies relevant to the lab's focus.
- Manage laboratory budgets and expenditures, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Negotiate competitively with vendors and suppliers to procure laboratory equipment and materials.
- Maintain an organized inventory system and ensure timely ordering of supplies.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address any compliance or safety issues.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a lab management focus role.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing SOPs.
