Job Title: Applications Manager
The Applications Manager will lead a team of Applications Engineers, coordinate applications development projects, and provide applications analysis for the FTIR and MS product line within Thermo Fisher's Environmental and Process Monitoring business unit. This role is critical in evaluating gas analysis applications to broaden the scope of FTIR and MS capabilities, enhance commercial effectiveness, and support customer-facing marketing activities.

This role is critical in evaluating gas analysis applications to broaden the scope of FTIR and MS capabilities, enhance commercial effectiveness, and support customer-facing marketing activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify likely areas of emerging applications and propose solutions to Product Management.
- Work with R&D and the Product Manager to define requirements for new products.
- Collaborate with sales professionals to cultivate new or target accounts, departments, and key influencers according to sales plans.
- Lead a team of Applications Engineers, prioritizing development projects and mentoring junior colleagues.
- Support the Senior Product Manager in defining the portfolio strategy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry (or similar) and 10 years of experience.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Proficiency in process FTIR and Mass Spectrometry is required.
- Experience with gas analysis is required.
- Excellent organization skill, detail-oriented, and ability to handle multi-tasking, deliveries, and timelines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
