Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Technical Application Scientist qPCR (m/f/d) who demonstrates exceptional work behaviors and drive to join our world-class Information Technology team. The preferred typical hours for this role would be 9a - 6p ET at the Grand Island, NY site.

Job Responsibilities:

• 
  Provide technical application support for quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) instruments and reagents

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully implement new technologies and products

• Provide flawless technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to customers

• Accurately record pertinent information from customer contacts in our Customer Relationship Management system and assist in the development of continuous improvement.

• Proactively determine customer needs and provide innovative solutions

• Keep up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements in qPCR technology

• Participate in training on products and continuing education on our new applications and technologies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, preferably in molecular biology or a related area, is minimally required. An advanced degree is strongly preferred.

• 2 years of laboratory experience

• Proven experience in qPCR applications and troubleshooting preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent and proficient verbal and written communication abilities in English

• Bilingual in either Spanish, French, German, or Italian would be an added plus.

• Ambitious and self-motivated with a passion for driving innovation

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
