What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator II position at THERMO KING?
Machine Operator II position is on 3rd shift. Hiring bonus of $500.00 payable after 90 days for new hires. Wage starts at $20.99 plus $1.50/hour shift differential.
Essential Functions:
Set-up and operate various machines and equipment to cut, bend, shape, shear, punch, drill, and/or test raw materials, parts, components and/or assemblies.
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Blueprint Reading
Precision Tools and Measuring
Certifications:
· Forklift, if applicable
Quality Metric:
· Scrap Dollars
· Rejected and/or reworked parts
Minimum Qualifications
q Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department.
q Demonstrate ability to use measuring equipment for specific department.
q Take Minimum Qualifications Test with a desired score of 70% or better.
q Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance
Introductory Level: Primary focus is learning the process

q Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with assistance.
q Demonstrate ability to produce quality parts within acceptable scrap rate.
q Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.
q Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs).

q Demonstrate ability to set-up and run >50% of operations in specific department with little or no assistance to include: Press brakes, *CNC punches, and *laser machines. (* if applicable)
q Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with little or no assistance.
q Demonstrate ability to do basic prototyping of parts with little or no assistance.
q Demonstrate the ability to calculate bend allowances and understand tooling radius.
q Demonstrate ability to perform preventive maintenance on related machinery and/or equipment.
q Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced without any assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.
