What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Systems Coordinator position at Thermo Pac, LLC?
Job purpose:
This position is responsible to ensure the quality standards of the company are maintained and documented. This position serves all departments and plant management staff in the coordination, implementation and auditing of the required quality system policy, procedures, and work instructions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality management system.
- Assist in compiling regulatory filing documents and in maintaining computerized files to support all documentation systems
- Analyze quality metrics and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality.
- Maintain internal audit documentation and records required for third party audits and assist with audits as assigned.
- Address non-conformances and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain document control processes to ensure accurate and up to date records are compliant with ISO requirements
- Plan and conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with standards.
- Serves as a resource for quality related issues and provides guidance to cross functional teams.
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 4 year degree required, preferably in food science field
- Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience with ISO/TS systems and procedures.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001-2008 and/or SQF2000 guidelines
- Must possess a strong aptitude for detail and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and computer skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize simultaneous tasks
- Excellent project management skills & follow-through
