Job Description
The Mechanical Technician works proactively to advance and improve the product assembly and test processes. Performs hands on assembly, building, disassembly of a precision mechanism and guidance to other Build Team members. Documents discrepancies in components or assembly process. Understands the product build schedule and works with the team to meet shipping and delivery requirements. Works collaboratively with other technicians to verify part and component reliability before assembly.

Responsibilities
- Builds production and prototype machines
- Record precision measurement data during the assembly of the machine
- Disassemble the product and analyze operational running issues
- Assist in the correction of any quality issue with any part or component
- Utilize and develop efficient assembly techniques
- Conduct in process tests, functional checks to validate the correct assembly
- Work as part of a team to bring product designs to mass production
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical issues on machines or equipment
- Interact with other engineers to develop specific solutions
- Ensure quality, on time delivery of designs as well as prototype and mass-produced components
Requirements
- A.S. Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Maintenance training or equivalent experience
- Hands-on ability to build and debug mechanisms
- Mechanical skills, dimensioning, tolerancing, torque, alignment, etc.
- Proficiency with drawing and blueprint and technical document reading
- Demonstrated organizational skills and production efficiency knowledge
- Excellent organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to maneuver in a manufacturing/plant environment.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling up to 40 lbs.
Preferences
- HVAC systems repair and build experience
- Engine build and repair experience
- Understanding of electric machines and basic wiring
