Reporting to the Supervisor, Engineering, your Design Engineering expertise in the mechanical specialty will help us produce world-class heating and boiler solutions for our clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Work directly with Sales and Manufacturing to determine priorities and develop production schedules.
- Follow customer specifications to complete product designs.
- Work with Mechanical Designers to select components, develop drawings and maintain as-built revisions.
- Advise Mechanical Designers in the creating and modifying of 3D models and 2D drawings in Inventor.
- Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings in Inventor as needed.
- Select proper components and generate BOM's.
- Provide needed calculations for tanks and/or pressure piping components.
- Work with vendors to introduce new and cost-effective products into our systems.
- Participate in the inspections of products in various stages of the production process.
- Help maintain our ASME Quality Control System.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical background.
- Strong background using Inventor for 3D modeling.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with capital equipment is preferred.
- A working knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel Codes, boilers, heat transfer equipment, or auxiliary boiler room equipment is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- The candidate must be willing to work independently after proper training and be a self-starter.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Work Environment:
This position must perform tasks that involve mainly office exposure, sitting behind a desk performing tasks on a computer. Most of their time, the employee will spend time in the office with low to moderate exposure to noise, heat, and cold environment, other physical requirements include walking, bending, hand dexterity, speaking, seeing, and lifting/moving up to 15 pounds. Steel toe shoes, earplugs and safety glasses are always required while on the production floor.
