What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Buyer position at THERMTROL CORPORATION?
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Operations Buyer to optimize procurement processes, manage supplier relationships, and ensure seamless coordination between purchasing and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Process raw material orders to meet production deadlines
- Analyze options with different suppliers to place purchase orders in line with factory timelines and cost expectations
- Prepare and manage invoices and coordinate shipment documentation
- Provide quotes and facilitate expedited shipping requests as required
- Collaborate closely with our internal production team to track material deliveries and escalate if timing does not align with our manufacturing schedule
- Build relationships with suppliers and internal teams to become a point of contact that helps address procurement challenges and continuously improves supply chain efficiency
- Maintain and update supplier data, pricing, and purchase records within the ERP system
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge / familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail approach to help build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Previous experience within a supply chain role highly encouraged but not required.
- High School diploma required. Associate’s degree recommended
