Job Description:
The Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist will be responsible for providing regulatory expertise to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance on environmental, health, and safety activities
- Assist in monitoring facility activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements
- Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions as needed
- Manage regulatory recordkeeping, reporting, and case management activities
- Develop and implement training programs for affected team members
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the defined value stream
- Ensure alignment of company EHS policies and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or other applicable to the health, safety, and environmental fields
- 9 years of experience working in industrial health, safety, and environmental activities
- Working knowledge of various safety regulations or standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, etc)
- Professional certification is desired
- Ability to work non-traditional hours or shifts
- Excellent verbal and written skills along with exceptional interpersonal skills
