Thesman Communities is a family-owned company providing Active 55 resort living since 1980. We are seeking a Full-Time Activities Director for our Las Palmas Community in Mesa, AZ. (laspalmas55.com)

Thesman Communities offers a supportive "Team" environment with professional management on site, resident volunteers, and Activity Directors from 4 additional Thesman Resorts in Mesa for group ideas, events and resources.

Responsibilities include:
_ Develop Activities and Social Calendar that reflects various Community interests - including both onsite and off property events_
Enthusiastically implement and manage all community activities and events
_ Recruit and maintain schedule for appropriate amount of staff and volunteers_
Seek out and negotiate contracts for community entertainment/food vendors/outside events
_ Maintain annual budget for supplies and resources. Track expenses/income to ensure profitability_
Assess and report attendance levels and facilitate changes when necessary
_ Compose and generate Monthly Activity Calendar and monthly newsletter content._
- Utilize Facebook, email, bulletins/flyers to keep residents informed
- Establish relationships with vendors to assist with events as appropriate
Qualifications:
_ Minimum 2 yrs Activity Director experience or related customer service field_
Full-time schedule will include Weekends
_ Outstanding personality with enthusiasm to motivate diverse personalities and talents_
Computer Proficiency (Photoshop, Word, Excel, Power Point, publisher, Social Media (Facebook, Zoom, Instagram))
