Our client, a management consulting firm is seeking an experienced Scrum Master for a top tier US Bank.
SKILLSET / EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in a Scrum Master capacity with 3 teams simultaneously
• Ability to lead teams through successful grooming, planning, execution and delivery phases by utilizing
industry best practices, while ensuring highest degree of stakeholders' satisfaction and team happiness
• A record of successful agile transformations of waterfall or no-methodology teams
• Advanced knowledge of agile theory, methodologies, and practices; estimation / sizing, planning,
forecasting, reporting, conflict resolution and facilitation techniques
• Experience of training teams and wider organization on agile theory and concepts
• Knowledge of current and emerging agile methodologies and approaches
• Experience in driving resolution of complex problems paired with ability to identify viable and often
innovative solutions
• Champion the timely communication of issues and encouragement of good working relationships with other
functions and teams
• Ability to support an environment where team freely escalates challenges; facilitates change through
positive reinforcement of successes
• Advanced knowledge of agile metrics and forecasting techniques
GOOD TO HAVE:
• Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
• Capital market experiences
• Experience implementing scaled agile methodologies
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
To the teams:
• Facilitate the Agile delivery processes end-to-end on a project / initiative level
• Act as a change agent within an organization to drive continuous improvement and adapt processes to
maximize productivity throughout the project lifecycle
• Engage appropriate stakeholders to identify and remove delivery impediments and ensure required
outcomes for the business
• Lead ongoing conversation with the team to Identify improvement opportunities and ensure continuous
progress towards improvement of processes, team dynamics, communications, tools, and practices
• Collaborate with PO and key stakeholders to ensure maximization of business value delivery
• Assist teams with maximizing work not done
• Lead teams towards becoming truly self-organizing and cross-functional
• Ensure full transparency and accountability of all the work performed by the team
• Facilitate team meetings, including standard scrum ceremonies
• Provide advice and guidance to the teams on industry best practices in Agile project management
• Drive teams towards forecasted and predictable delivery of agile backlogs
• Institute a collaborative culture across the individual teams
• Engage with the agile center of excellence in order to drive organization-wide standardization and
implementation of agile best practices
To the stakeholders:
• Adhere to TD Securities delivery frameworks and methodologies; Ensure respective policies/practices are
well executed
• Facilitate product delivery in alignment with established cost, timing, scope and quality objectives
• Ensure deliverables meet all the performance, quality and compliance standards
• Collaborate with Product Owner(s), Technology Lead(s) and Team(s) on planning, execution, and closing of
sprint goals
• Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements; Assess, communicate and
mitigate potential impacts
• Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk
appetite
• Protect the interests of the organization – identify, communicate, and manage risks
