About Us
We're an ambitious and tight-knit team rethinking CRE brokerage from the ground up in the age of artificial intelligence. We are building an AI-powered intelligence platform to drive access and liquidity of commercial properties, while scaling the network of available investors and their capital. We are creating the Central Nervous System for commercial real estate transactions that challenges a core industry constraint : a broker's value is limited by their ability to maintain deep relationships at scale. Our AI agent, Lex, removes this limitation - providing every client with 24 / 7 personalized attention while managing thousands of relationships simultaneously. As a VC-backed startup, we are looking for a Founding Engineer to help shape our technical foundation and realize this ambitious mission.
This is no typical startup, we are aiming to rework commercial real estate from its core, and this mission is only for the ones capable of changing the world and making it their own.
The Role
As our Founding Engineer, you'll be a key technical leader working directly with the founders on a daily basis to ensure we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI and big data in commercial real estate. You'll tackle complex data engineering challenges, build and manage AI agents and their supporting infrastructure, and develop robust tooling that scales. We're not just building simple applications – we're processing massive datasets, creating sophisticated AI systems, and developing full-stack solutions that require creative problem-solving and technical excellence. You'll leverage cutting-edge AI-based development tools while architecting and implementing the core systems that power our platform.
The Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Infrastructure
- Data Platform Development : Lead our central data platform development using Neo4j and SQL databases, handling everything from investor portfolios to agent execution tracking.
- Pipeline Architecture : Design and implement scalable data pipelines, transforms, and entity resolution solutions for our graph-based structures.
- Infrastructure Management : Architect and maintain our tech stack using AWS, Docker, and AWS CDK, ensuring rapid deployment capabilities for both internal and external products.
AI Systems & Tooling
Agent Development : Work with our AI agent Lex, designing and implementing tooling for effective interaction with data and users that are in the outside world.Performance Optimization : Monitor KPIs and execution traces to improve agent success rates and quickly identify failure cases.Tooling Innovation : Create sophisticated tools for debugging, monitoring, and expanding AI agent capabilities across our ecosystem.Full-Stack Development
Application Building : Develop internal and customer-facing applications using React, Vercel, and Python AWS.Stack Expertise : Implement features across all layers, from database design to frontend interfaces.Modern Development : Leverage AI-based IDEs like Cursor or Zed to maximize productivity and maintain high development standards.Are you a Culture Fit?

Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript, with experience building production-grade applications in both languagesExpertise in designing, building, and maintaining APIs and microservices architecturesDeep understanding of AWS Cloud Services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and other core servicesExperience integrating and optimizing OpenAI and other AI inference APIs for production environmentsProficiency with modern AI frameworks like Instructor, with a focus on practical implementationStrong background in Docker containerization and container orchestrationStartup experience or strong entrepreneurial driveInterest in commercial real estate and AI / ML applications (experience is a plus)Me able to move to Austin or Dallas, TX within 60 days.Next Steps :
