At The Vida Agency (TVA) we work on brand campaigns and brand- and issue-related communication services for market segments such as health, transportation, water, construction, public policy, education, and more. We work with public agencies and private corporations to reach diverse audiences for greater cultural impact. We’re looking for an Account Director to manage our growing client relationships. As a senior member of the service team, this individual will be responsible for providing excellent service and guiding execution for an assigned group of clients, both local and national. They will be accountable for client profitability, relationship building, team leadership, and business analysis. Essential functions and duties
- Develop Broad Industry Expertise
- Become an expert in client business areas and products
- Build and Grow Client Relationships
- Serve as point of contact for accounts
- Gain new business from existing clients by consistently delivering excellent service, gaining client trust and loyalty, and staying informed about client business and marketing needs.
- Understand clients’ businesses and identify areas of opportunity; coordinate SMEs and leadership to support strategy development based on client’s goals and business priorities
- Build trust, credibility and client referrals
- Develop multi-tiered agency-client relationships and ties
- Effectively Manage Teams
- Collaborate closely with Project Manager(s) to ensure the team provides exceptional work to clients
- Coordinate with leadership, account team and operations to select and procure outside purchases and freelance services needed to complete projects.
- Foster teamwork and a constructive work environment
- Be an example to those around you
- Own, maintain and improve account profitability, keep a close eye on budget, including hours available for each initiative, profitability of accounts, etc.
- Contribute to the Agency’s bottom line by ensuring SOWs are smart and effective
- Provide Strategic and Marketing Leadership
- Create relevant, innovative strategic plans that will help drive our clients’ business
- Work with clients to uncover business needs and objectives

To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to sit at a desk for four or more hours a day, and use office equipment, including phones and computer keyboards, for four or more hours per day. Individuals must be able to engage clients over the phone and in-person by voice. Must be able to travel to attend and conduct events in the Puget Sound area. This may require physical agility to push-pull, squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, and to reach overhead. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
