POSITION PURPOSE:
The role of the Sales Support Administrator is pivotal to the success of our showroom, with a focus on elevating the overall customer experience and achieving sales targets. This position is centered around delivering exceptional customer service, understanding, and meeting customer requirements, and effectively communicating the value proposition of our products. The Sales Support Administrator will also play a crucial role in participating in driving sales and leaving a positive and enduring impression on our clientele.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Cultivate a deep understanding of our product offerings through daily sales activities, ongoing research, and active participation in product training sessions.
- Oversee all memo room functions to include, but not limited to, maintaining all replenishment ordering, organization of existing and incoming collections, clearing of discontinued products.
- Oversee all marketing collateral and related on hand levels. In addition, responsible for maintaining all office supply necessities for the showroom.
- Manage incoming phone inquiries and assist customers efficiently as required.
- Facilitate order follow-up procedures by utilizing the weekly reserve report. Conduct daily calls and send emails to keep designers informed about order status.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the Thibaut operating system, leveraging excellent computer skills to deliver outstanding and timely customer service.
- Oversee order entries, including processing customer orders and providing updates on status, payment, and delivery information.
- Management of the Weekly Traffic Report that monitors the showroom’s traffic and records the memo activity from the showroom each week. Report is to be sent to the showroom manager by EOD on Friday of each week.
- Collaborate closely with sales associates and showroom manager to execute strategies that promote client business growth and reinforce connections between sales associates and showroom clients.
REQUIREMENTS, REASONING ABILITIES AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Solid understanding of retail sales and customer service principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Willingness to contribute ideas for improving showroom efficiency.
- Analytical mindset to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
- Ability to think critically and make decisions aligned with company policies.
- Proficiency in using computers, phones, calculators, and other technological equipment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and move around the showroom for extended periods.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma required.
- 3-5 years of experience in administrative roles, preferably within a showroom or retail environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address issues and devise effective solutions.
- Capability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with showroom operations, customer service, and administrative duties.
