What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietitian position at Thibodaux Regional Health System?
Responsible for planning, directing and providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to diabetes patients enrolled in the outpatient Diabetes Self-Management Program, Weight Management Program or any other nutritional needs referred by a physician; and assists with community nutrition education.
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics required.
Previous Experience:
1. Previous experience with diabetes patient education desired.
Other Special Training/Skills:
1. Effective communication skills, both orally and in written form.
2. Computer literacy.
3. Professional appearance and demeanor.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:
1. Registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration.
2. Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist with Louisiana Board of Examiners in Dietetics and Nutrition.
3. Member of the American Dietetic Association
