What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Radiation Therapist position at Thibodaux Regional Health System?
Provides leadership, training and guidance to all radiation therapist/assistants and participates with the Oncology Director in the development and implementation of the philosophy and objectives for the radiation services provided at the Cancer Institute. Responsible for the performance of all duties relating to the administering of a prescribed course of radiation therapy.
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
- Graduate of a program in radiation therapy technology, or a suitable equivalent required.
Previous Experience:
1. A minimum of five years of radiation therapist experience is required.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:
- Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiation therapy technology.
- Must be licensed in Radiation Therapy by the Louisiana State Board of Radiology.
- Current licensure in Radiologic Technology by the Louisiana State Board of Radiology preferred.
