What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacist position at Thibodaux Regional Health System?
The Pharmacist prepares and dispenses orders for parenternal, oral, and topical medication, monitors patient drug therapies, and provides drug information. The Pharmacist supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, the Staff Pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the director.
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in pharmacy or PharmD required.
Previous Experience:
1. Experience in hospital pharmacy practice.
Other Special Training/Skills:
1. Familiarity with unit dose, IV admixtures, and clinical pharmacy practice.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:
1. Current and valid registration with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy as a registered pharmacist.
