What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center?
Responsible for monthly financial reports, reviewing and analyzing monthly trial balances of general ledger accounts and statistical data to assist in the preparation of the monthly financial statements. Responsible for the financial preparation and analysis of the income, expense, statistical data, specific profit and lost reports, and the individual provider compensations for the professional services associated with the employed physician practices and hospital based providers. Plan, organize and direct the requests associated with the annual year-end external audit. Also, assist with the productivity analysis, statistical analysis, fixed asset analysis, and the annual budget preparation.
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Previous Experience:
1. 1-3 years previous experience in healthcare or general accounting preferred.
2. Must possess good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
3. Previous experience with Governmental Accounting preferred.
4. Previous audit experience preferred.
