Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Seamstress/Tailor to join our team. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and performing alterations and repairs on garments. This is an opportunity to showcase your expertise in garment construction and sewing while working in a fast-paced fashion retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform alterations and repairs on garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and replacing buttons or zippers
- Use sewing machines, hand tools, and other equipment to complete tailoring tasks
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with fitting and ensuring their satisfaction with the finished product
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Tailor or similar role
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and other tailoring tools
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong communication and customer service skills
