JOB SUMMARY
Mental Health Therapist provides comprehensive behavioral services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy to individuals, families, and groups. This position works collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to support the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide behavioral health services, such as talk therapy to individuals representing a broad range of mental health symptoms and associated functional impairment concerns.
- Perform evaluations and assessments to evaluate patients mental health and develop individual treatment plans based on patients individual needs.
- Practice in collaboration with staff to manage patient care.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with internal providers, community partners, and referral sources to ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to the ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by the State of Nebraska and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) or American Counseling Association (ACA).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of mental health care management, principles and implications of standards for quality of care, quality measurement, monitoring, and related features of todays healthcare environment.
- Skill in communicating in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Skill in planning, organizing, and time management.
- Skill in using a computer and a variety of software, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to cultural competency and inclusive care.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program. Active and unrestrictive Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in the State of Nebraska. Preferred Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Nebraska.
