Sr. Network Engineer (Service Provider)
Jersey City, NJ
FULL TIME
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing routers and switches in an enterprise level environment
- Providing solution integrations for clients including technical discussions, anticipating clients needs, design recommendations, etc.
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting ASR 9K routers using IOS-XR OS
- Overseeing migration implementations for large complex networks
- Running and executing bash/python scripts within Linux systems
- Resolve client connectivity and interference networking issues
- Providing support after the change events
REQUIREMENTS:
- CCIE or CCNP Certified
- Service Provider experience is a plus
- Extensive Cisco routing/switching and Data Center experience
- ASR9k experience is a must!
- Scripting and/or programming experience with either Bash/Shell, Python, or Java
- Working with IOS-XR operating systems
- Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k
- Optical experience
- IP Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, MPLS, IP Multicast)
- Excellent understanding of Cisco technologies
