Outreach and Engagement Manager Job Description
We seek a dynamic Outreach and Engagement Manager to expand the reach and impact of COPE by developing and executing strategic growth initiatives, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and driving engagement through innovative marketing efforts. This role is ideal for a passionate professional who thrives in mission-driven work and has experience in partnership development, program outreach, and marketing. The ideal candidate has a track record of community engagement through professional, volunteer service, or personal connection to individuals and/or communities impacted by poverty.
Essential functions:
Sales and Business Development
- Identify, engage, and build relationships with prospective clients, including businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions, and faith-based organizations.
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to increase COPE bookings and partnerships nationwide.
- Manage inbound inquiries, conduct outreach, and lead presentations on the impact and benefits of COPE.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies.
- Track and report on sales metrics, trends, and growth opportunities.
Marketing and Outreach
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy to increase awareness and demand for COPE.
- Create compelling content, including email campaigns, social media posts, website updates, and promotional materials.
- Oversee digital marketing efforts, including paid advertising, and lead generation strategies.
- Coordinate with customers and community partners to amplify COPE’s impact.
- Represent Think Tank, Inc. at conferences, networking events, and community forums to promote COPE.
Partnerships & Client Relations
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing COPE clients to encourage repeat engagement and referrals.
- Identify strategic partnership opportunities to expand COPE’s reach and influence, especially among shared value/high-impact networks.
- Support clients in integrating COPE into their organizational training and community engagement initiatives.

Skills & Behaviors:
- Passion for social impact and a mature understanding of poverty-related issues.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or nonprofit fundraising (3 years preferred) with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies, including digital campaigns, email marketing, and audience segmentation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate, nonprofit, and community partners.
- Strategic mindset with experience developing and executing growth-oriented plans.
- Strong empathy and desire to understand and serve customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Able to work in a hybrid or remote environment
- Proficiency in technology platforms listed and/or ability to learn new technologies, especially CRM systems.
- Mature understanding of poverty-related challenges, gained through lived experience, professional work, or community engagement.
- Prefer a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience in a related field.
