Clinical Staff Position
The Clinical Staff position is responsible for coordinating and implementing care plans for patients under the direct supervision of a health care provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with members of the health care team to coordinate patient care services, including preparation of patients for examination or treatment, gathering of information including reason for visit and related patient information.
- Perform vital signs, height, weight, and screening procedures and document findings in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure accurate documentation is maintained, relay instructions to patients, schedule follow-up appointments, and help ensure timely patient flow.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to achieve certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, etc.).
- An active medication aid, and American Heart Associate BLS/CPR certification required.
Working Conditions:
This role operates in a healthcare setting. This position requires frequent standing, walking, and computer work. The employee must be able to stand 75% or longer of the workday, walk 15% or longer of the workday, and sit 10% of the workday.
Physical Effort:
The employee must be able to lift and maneuver up to 35 pounds occasionally. They must also be able to bend, squat, kneel, and reach above shoulder level occasionally and twist occasionally.
