Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (Nursing) to join our healthcare team on a 13-week contract with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to healthcare providers by assisting with patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant health data.
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure all necessary medical equipment and supplies are available.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle basic administrative duties.
- Provide patient education on medical procedures, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and infection control policies.
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program.
- Experience: Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, CNA, or related healthcare role preferred.
- Certifications: BLS/CPR certification required.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- EMR Experience: Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
