Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join our team on a contract basis in Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyzing specimens, and ensuring accurate results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols.
• Prepare and analyze specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Adhere to quality control and safety procedures to maintain a sterile work environment.
• Document and report test results accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
• Certification: ASCP, AMT, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and proficiency in laboratory equipment and software.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment.
