Contract Duration: 13 weeks (with possible extension)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our healthcare team on a 13-week contract assignment in Westerville, OH. This is a night shift position with opportunities for extension based on performance and facility needs.

As an MLT, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, treating, and preventing disease. This role requires attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a strong commitment to quality and patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, and immunology
• Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure accurate labeling and documentation
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols
• Accurately enter test results into the laboratory information system (LIS)
• Monitor quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective patient care
• Adhere to all laboratory safety and compliance guidelines

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP or equivalent preferred)
• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work night shifts, including occasional weekends or holidays as needed
