Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Technician to join our healthcare team in Boise, ID. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the operating room is prepared with the necessary instruments and supplies. This position requires attention to detail, strong teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room with surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Monitor and account for surgical instruments before and after procedures.
- Assist in patient positioning, draping, and prepping for surgery.
- Handle surgical specimens properly and ensure accurate documentation.
- Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with the surgical team, including nurses and anesthesiologists, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety regulations, and procedural guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a surgical setting.
- Knowledge of sterile processing and infection control standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
