Job Description:
We are seeking a Certified Sterile Processor to join our healthcare team in Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and medical equipment in compliance with industry standards and hospital protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical supplies.
- Inspect instruments for damage and proper functioning.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and other disinfecting devices.
- Maintain proper documentation of sterilization records and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to meet instrument and supply needs.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD, CRCST, or equivalent) required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
