Job Description

Thinking Minds Inc.'s client is seeking an experienced SAP Finance Director to lead their SAP Finance solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA. This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for solution architecture, integration, and transformation of finance applications as part of a multi-year SAP S/4HANA migration. The role involves close collaboration with global finance teams, IT leadership, and external vendors to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and oversee SAP Finance solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA, ensuring seamless integration with third-party finance applications
• Lead finance solution architecture and design to support business operations, reporting, and compliance requirements
• Work closely with global finance teams to assess business needs, drive process improvements, and align IT solutions with strategic goals
• Evaluate current SAP landscape and identify opportunities for technology enhancements
• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, change management processes, and governance standards
• Manage a high-performing SAP Finance team, providing direction, mentorship, and performance management
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, and resource planning for SAP Finance projects
• Provide project management oversight for finance-related SAP initiatives
• Partner with business leaders to establish key performance metrics and assess ROI on SAP finance investments
• Stay up to date with emerging SAP finance trends to continuously optimize solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related field (Graduate coursework preferred)
• 10 years of experience in SAP Finance solutions, including 5 years leading large-scale finance transformation initiatives
• 3 years of experience in people management with a strong track record of leading teams and fostering professional growth
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and finance-related third-party tools
• Deep knowledge of global finance functions, including accounting, taxation, intercompany transactions, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to drive business transformation
• Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor management
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to interact with senior business leaders
