Job Description:

Thinking Minds Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be involved in structural design, analysis, and project coordination from planning to completion. This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply structural engineering principles while working with industry experts on diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, research, and organize project design criteria and parameters.
• Design foundations and anchorage using custom structural analysis software.
• Develop finite element analysis (FEA) models for structural assessment.
• Apply building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, etc.) in design and analysis.
• Create and draft engineering details based on structural analysis results.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and submittal packages.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project success.
• Support site plan development and participate in structural project planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (with structural coursework).
• Strong understanding of structural analysis principles.
• Ability to draw free-body diagrams and determine load paths for simple structures.
• Basic familiarity with AutoCAD (2D) drafting.
• Excellent organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn quickly.

Preferred Skills (Pluses):

• EIT/FE certification.
• Prior design-related experience (projects or work experience).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) drafting.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software.
• Knowledge of seismic and wind load analysis.
• Ability to analyze complex structures using free-body diagrams and load path identification.
