What are the responsibilities and job description for the Windchill Solution Architect position at Thinkreh?
We are seeking an experienced Windchill Solution Architect with a strong background in the aerospace domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Windchill solutions, particularly in integrating Windchill with Servigistics, as well as comprehensive knowledge in architecting and implementing Windchill functionalities. This role demands a deep understanding of Windchill components, persistence, navigation, views, wizards, services, listeners, and managing complex environments such as Vaulting, Replicas, and Clusters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of Windchill solutions, particularly within the aerospace domain.
- Work closely with the integration of Servigistics with Windchill to streamline processes and data exchange.
- Implement and manage Windchill functionalities, including packages, change management, workflows, and related components.
- Design and optimize persistence layers, navigation structures, usage links, views, wizards, and services in Windchill.
- Configure and manage listeners, component builders, and Info Engine for enhanced performance and functionality.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of Windchill solutions by managing replica setups, vaulting, and cluster environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the Windchill solution is optimized for business needs and objectives.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve any system issues related to Windchill functionality.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on Windchill architecture and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in architecting Windchill solutions within the aerospace industry.
- Strong expertise in integrating Windchill with Servigistics, ensuring smooth data flow and system compatibility.
- In-depth knowledge of Windchill functionality, including change management, workflows, persistence, navigation, views, and more.
- Hands-on experience with Windchill components such as listeners, component builders, Info Engine, Vaulting, Replicas, and Cluster environments.
- Solid understanding of the technical aspects of the Windchill platform and how to customize it to meet business needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical solutions effectively.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Windchill DS (Distributed Systems) for scalable and high-performance implementations.
- Knowledge of additional PTC solutions and their integration with Windchill.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments and prioritize effectively.
