As a key member of our Plant Operations Support team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to both our existing customers and their carriers. Under the guidance of the Plant Operations Supervisor, your responsibilities will involve ensuring smooth communication and efficient logistics processes via telephone and email. This role requires dedication, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving issues in a fast-paced environment.

- Schedule or request all drop containers.
- Email the carriers when drop containers are ready for pickup.
- Provide guidance and training to other Plant Support Team Members.
- Print and sign bills of lading and other shipping documents for both domestic and international shipments.
- Track and ensure accuracy of documentation of customer orders in ERP system.
- Handle shipping and scheduling problems.
- Responsible for preparing and shipping sample shipments.
- Print labels as requested. Keep inventory of labels, printer ink, and contact purchasing as needed.
- Receive/Ship packages through local carriers.
- Coordinate and confirm shipping and receiving orders with assigned carriers via email and telephone.
- Review and process shipping goods issue in ERP systems internally and externally for customers where required.
- Observe all safety policies and procedures. Participate in plant safety processes and immediately report any unsafe conditions.
- Remain current on the requirements of the Quality Program ensure that your actions support the Quality Policy towards continual improvement.
- Analyze and maintain the shipping schedule daily to ensure the shipping department prepares adequately for shipments, and that the shipments are loaded as per the schedule. This is also maintained for the accuracy and research needed by the invoicing team.
- Review fee charges for additional fees in accordance with Service Fee Policy for appropriate documentation to ensure accurate billing.
- Review the orders and communicate accordingly any missing documentation to ensure shipment and invoicing accuracy.
- Exhibits and practices the Third Coast Fundamentals.
- High School Graduate or GED REQUIRED
- Minimum of 24 months in Customer Service/Materials Logistics role
- Detail oriented with excellent organization skills.
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work within a team or independently as required
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are required
- Professional and courteous behavior
- Good English communication skills both verbal and written
- Able to speak Spanish is a plus
- 85% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, walking, and viewing.
- 15% Warehouse Setting, standing, bending, and light lifting.
Salary : $16 - $20
