What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2024-2025 Custodian - Prescott position at Third Future Schools?
Third Future Schools is a high-achieving and growing network of charter schools. The network's school in Baton Rouge, LA ,Prescott, is looking for a night custodian.
The EMPLOYEE agrees to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Performs general cleaning and custodial duties in common areas of building.
- Sanitize bathrooms. Restock bathroom supplies.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and cafeteria.
- Clean tables, benches, chairs and desks.
- Vacuum carpets.
- Sweep, mop and maintain tiled floors.
- Dust all surfaces.
- Clean walls, doors, and door jambs.
- Empty trash receptacles, disposes trash into dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal.
- Clean/wash all glass surfaces .
- Clean whiteboards.
- Maintains a neat and orderly janitor closet: ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
- Assists in examining school safety hazards: reports deficiencies to operations manager, principal, and/or school security.
- Perform limited grounds: trash pickup, including picking up trash throughout the campus exterior, sidewalks, flowerbeds, fence lines, parking lots and playgrounds.
- Secure facility by locking doors, windows, and setting alarms. Monitor building security throughout the shift.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Ability to work with and be a part of a team
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning products
- Ability to operate a computerized security system
- Ability to maintain honesty and integrity in all aspects of the job
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:
- Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals
- Operating knowledge of all major custodial equipment
- Ability to perform minor equipment and building repairs
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb and lift up to 50lbs at a time.
Requirements:
- Required to carry and respond to radios and/or cell phone calls during assigned shifts.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Louisiana residents and non resident employees must get fingerprinted by state law (Louisiana Only)
We also provide health, dental, and vision for only $50 a month.
