We are growing and seeking a mission driven Director Business Intelligence to join and lead our BI team. Ideal candidates will have exceptional technical, analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, growth-mindset, ability to mentor and coach a team of BI Analysts, and interest to make a positive impact.
This is a fully REMOTE position. Only applicants who currently reside in California, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington State will be considered for this role.
The Director, Business Intelligence is a pivotal role which will lead the development and implementation strategies to support existing and future product and service offerings for 3Si clients. This role will lead a team of BI professionals in transforming data into actionable insights and identification of future product and service options. This position works closely with cross functional partners in Product, Client Success, Marketing/Sales and Engineering to ensure data driven decision making which yields stakeholder satisfaction and company growth.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute on the BI strategy in alignment with department and organizational objectives.
- Provide leadership and vision in the areas of data analytics, reporting and business intelligence.
- Partner with Client Success and Product teams to identify appropriate product conversion opportunities based on ad-hoc analysis, trends and themes. Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing BI team, including data analysts, engineers and developers. Set performance expectations, provide coaching and support the team’s professional development.
- Establish key performance indicators and metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of BI and data initiatives.
- Conduct exploratory analysis of source data from clients and help architect integration across complex data systems in the implementation of CUSP products in client cloud environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights. Develop and maintain data models, dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights aligned with clients stated outcomes.
- Oversee data management and governance to ensure data quality, security and compliance.

- Ensure documentation protocol for data processes, systems and architecture.
- Stay current with BI technologies, trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement. Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance BI capabilities.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, Computer Science or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Seven or more years’ experience in business intelligence, data analytics or related field with at least three or more years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in a SaaS or technology driven environment.
- Expertise in visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI), SQL, and data warehousing.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies.
- Proficiency in statistics (or applied statistics) and experience in integrating and analyzing complex datasets to support executive decision-making.
- Solid ability to problem-solve and operate with analytical ambiguity.
- Strong consultative and project management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics techniques.
- Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis.
