What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Coach position at Third Serve Foundation?
We are looking for an energetic, passionate, and motivated tennis coach to inspire and teach young kids in a part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be fully fluent in Spanish (or bilingual), with experience coaching kids and a background in tennis, either through coaching experience or having played at a college/professional level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead 2-3 one-hour tennis practice sessions per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
- Provide a positive and supportive environment for young players to grow and develop their skills
- Adapt coaching methods to suit the needs and abilities of young kids
- Inspire and motivate students with a fun, engaging approach
- Ensure safe and effective coaching practices at all times
- Work in a team environment, collaborating with other coaches and staff
Requirements:
- Fluent in Spanish (bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply)
- Previous experience coaching kids, particularly in tennis
- Tennis playing experience at a competitive or professional level
- USTA SafePlay Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Energetic, patient, and passionate about working with children
- Is 18 years of age or older
This position requires a minimum commitment of hours, with only 2-3 practices per week. The role is compensated hourly.
