We are currently seeking a Credentialing Assistant that will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Credentialing Specialist, assisting in the credentialing, privileging, and payer enrollment processes. This role ensures accurate documentation, timely updates, and efficient communication with internal teams and external agencies to maintain compliance with all credentialing and enrollment requirements.
General job duties:
Credentialing & Administrative Support:
- Assist in collecting, reviewing, and organizing credentialing applications and supporting documentation.
- Conduct initial verifications of licensure, certifications, and other credentials as directed by the Credentialing Specialist.
- Maintain credentialing files, ensuring all provider records are accurate and up to date.
- Help monitor expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and contracts, ensuring timely renewals.
- Support the preparation and submission of credentialing applications and reports.
- Assist in internal and external audits by organizing credentialing records and responding to document requests.
Payer Enrollment Assistance:
- Aid in the completion and tracking of enrollment applications with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance payers.
- Follow up with payers regarding enrollment status and provide updates to the Credentialing Specialist.
- Maintain updated records of payer contracts and fee schedules.
- Help track contract expiration and renewal deadlines to ensure timely submission.
Compliance & Communication:
- Ensure all credentialing and enrollment activities comply with relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
- Assist in responding to credentialing and enrollment inquiries from providers and staff.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as HR and Revenue Cycle, to ensure accurate and timely processing of credentialing information.
- Support communication with external agencies, including insurance companies and regulatory bodies. Be a positive role model for all health center staff.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Prior administrative experience in healthcare, credentialing, billing, or related field preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and credentialing database systems preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
