Our partner is seeking a Deckhand in Blytheville, AR. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of vessels. Responsibilities include vessel maintenance, assisting with navigation, and ensuring overall safety.

- Secure barges together (laying rigging)
- Secure boat to barges (facing boat up)
- Line handling
- General boat cleaning
- Minor engine room work (oil changes, greasing, etc.)
- Painting
- Cooking
- Maintaining logs, grocery orders, and conducting safety drills
- Willingness to be trained and coachable
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a 3-day deckhand orientation class
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC
- Valid driver's license
- Availability to work various hours, including holidays and weekends
- Must meet "fit for duty" requirements (pre-employment physical, drug test, and MRI)
- Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb ladders/stairs
- Comfort working aboard boats and barges
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at protected heights up to 40 feet
- Exposure to all weather conditions (rain, ice, snow, wind, heat, etc.)
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
