Our partner is seeking a Director of Annual Giving and Alumni/ae Engagement in St. Paul, MN. This full-time, exempt position will oversee the annual giving program, alumni/ae relations, and donor engagement for a prominent college preparatory day school serving students from kindergarten through grade 12. The Director will be responsible for managing fundraising efforts, strategic alumni/ae programming, and strengthening connections with alumni, parents, and friends of the school.
Responsibilities
Annual Giving
- Manage the annual giving program, budget, vendors, and staff for fundraising efforts below the Leadership Giving Society ($2,500 ).
- Develop strategic plans for alumni/ae giving, focusing on reunion giving, young alumni/ae giving, and day-of-giving events.
- Create marketing and communication materials for annual giving solicitations.
- Develop fundraising achievement plans with goals, priorities, outcomes, action steps, and timetables.
- Manage volunteer committees for parent, alumni/ae, and faculty/staff campaigns.
- Oversee donor stewardship and recognition programs.
- Prepare and interpret reports on annual giving progress and trends.
- Manage a personal portfolio of alumni/ae prospects for qualification, cultivation, solicitation, gift closure, and stewardship.
Alumni/ae Engagement
- Provide strategic direction to the Alumni/ae Relations program, focusing on fostering strong, mutually beneficial relationships between the school and its alumni/ae.
- Direct key alumni/ae engagement programs, including regional alumni/ae events, the Athletics Hall of Fame, and the Distinguished Alumni/ae Program.
- Oversee other alumni/ae programs, such as the Annual Alumni/ae Reunion Program, Alumni/ae Council, and Alumni/ae Speaker Series.
- Manage alumni/ae social media strategy and execution.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Five to seven years of demonstrated success in fundraising, volunteer management, events management, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with experience using CRM software (preferably Raiser's Edge).
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Significant hands-on management experience in complex projects involving volunteers or cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, listening, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs and initiatives.
