A hospitality partner is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Seattle, WA. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of guest and associate safety and comfort within a hotel setting. The position focuses on ensuring the functionality of guestrooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces by addressing lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance needs. This role requires weekend availability and reports to the Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to radio and pager calls for assigned areas.
- Document all work performed.
- Perform preventive maintenance on guestrooms, meeting rooms, public areas, and restrooms.
- Assist guests with operating hotel equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on hotel equipment.
- Perform routine repairs on appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems.
- Complete basic power drops in meeting rooms.
- Re-key meeting rooms and resolve lock issues.
- Install electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and mechanical parts with minimal assistance.
- Secure energy sources to prevent injuries or asset damage.
- Maintain general knowledge of electricity, steam, refrigeration, pneumatics, and HVAC systems.
- Follow safety procedures such as Lockout/Tag-out and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Understand and maintain hotel life safety systems, including fire panels, emergency generators, and sprinkler systems.
- Record equipment and meter readings and submit material requisitions.
- Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
- Complete assigned tasks as directed by management.
- Perform painting, woodwork touch-ups, and wallcovering repairs/installations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- 3-5 years of previous maintenance experience.
- HVAC certification (preferred).
- Boiler certification (preferred).
- PM Shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED
