Wellness Center Attendant

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Wellness Center Coordinator, the Wellness Center Attendant will provide customer service to all visitors, assist with usage of facility and ensure that rules are of the Thlopthlocco Tribal Town’s Wellness Center (gym and fitness center) are being followed. Working hours will be based on calendar and may include weekends. Hours may not exceed 20 hours per week unless otherwise approved.

Principal Duties:

• Welcome customers, deal with inquiries, and provide appropriate Wellness Center activity information.
• Answer phone calls.
• Monitor use of facilities and equipment.
• Routine cleaning of the Wellness Center.
• Ensure members are following Wellness Center rules and adhering to safety protocols.
• Ensure that the facilities are free of health and safety hazards.
• Report any conflicts or hazards to the Coordinator.
• Will help with reservations of the south community building.
• Perform and and all duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 17 years of age, with verifiable references that demonstrate good working skills for at least a year.
• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or show documentation that you are in the process of obtaining either of these.
• Must have good public relation skill and customer service skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to seek improvements.
• Knowledge of health and fitness equipment.
• Must be able to work with minimal to no supervision.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to submit to and pass all necessary background checks and drug testing.
• CPR AED certification is a plus.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Weekends as needed

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
