Occupancy Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Occupancy Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing tenant occupancy processes, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This position requires strong administrative skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with tenants .

Responsibilities

• Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, ensuring a smooth transition for new tenants.
• Conduct thorough tenant screenings, including background checks and income verification.
• Maintain accurate records of tenant applications, leases, and occupancy data using property management software
• Ensure compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations and other housing policies.
• Collaborate with property management teams to address tenant concerns and facilitate property maintenance requests.
• Assist in negotiating lease terms and contracts with prospective tenants.
• Provide administrative support by performing data entry tasks and maintaining organized files for all occupancy-related documentation.
• Conduct regular audits of occupancy reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with tenants and team members.
• Ability to negotiate lease agreements and contracts effectively.
• Knowledge of facilities management and property maintenance processes is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
