Job Summary:
We are seeking a Maternal and Child Wellness Advocate to join our team at Thom Child & Family Services. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing home-based early parenting partnership services to families with infants and toddlers. Your goal will be to support parents in promoting healthy development and well-being in their children. Responsibilities:
Provide home visits and coaching to families with young children. Monitor developmental milestones and progress with parents/caregivers. Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate. Document all information necessary for the upkeep of client files. Participate in developmental screenings in the community. Attend program functions for clients and the public. Assist and/or complete initial intakes and provide follow-up referrals and/or interagency service coordination as needed.
Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Massachusetts. BSN preferred. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Strong ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners. Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development. Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally informed services. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards. Good computer skills as well as strong documentation skills. Current drivers license and reliable transportation. CPR/First Aid required within the first 6 months.
