What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Operations Coordinator position at Thomann Asphalt?
At Thomann Asphalt, we are seeking a highly motivated and safety-focused Asphalt Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role will provide direct support to the Assets Manager in ensuring that all aspects of materials and equipment are maintained and available for immediate use at job sites.
The ideal candidate will have a self-motivated and detail-oriented mindset, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions and work independently. A Class B CDL is a plus, and previous experience operating equipment such as skid steers and excavators is preferred.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the loading and unloading of material coming in and leaving the yard, operating equipment as needed to assist in the delivery of materials to job sites, maintaining an inventory record of materials received and used, inspecting incoming materials and verifying invoices, and general housekeeping and maintenance of equipment, trucks, mechanic shop, and yard areas.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities and operates in both an indoor and outdoor work environment, in all weather conditions. The employee must be able to push, pull, move, and lift up to 50 pounds and climb and descend a flight of stairs as needed.
We offer a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with extended hours, nights, and weekend work possible based on business needs. This position does not require travel or out-of-town work.
